Getting Started

Spark enables you to quickly navigate the market. You can change stocks and tools with a single key press, and you can mouse over certain columns to see more information without affecting your layout.

• Press Space, type a stock code, and press Enter to view a particular stock.
• Press D, T, C, or A to see its depth, trades, chart, or announcements.
• Press H to toggle column headings.
• Press R, F, V, N, or Y to change the tool to top rises, falls, volume, market news, or all trades (Y is next to T).
• Move your mouse over different rows or columns to see what pops up.
• Press /2 (slash, two) to split the window in half. Try dragging the gap between the tools.
• Press W to change the tool to watchlist. Then type + bhp Enter (plus b, h, p, enter) to add BHP to the watchlist.
• You can also add to the watchlist by dragging stocks from other parts of the screen.
• Press S to change the tool to smartlist, and right click anywhere on the tool to show the options. Try out the different filters.
• Show or hide the groups of options by clicking their title.
• Press Ctrl Z to undo.

In addition to the keyboard shortcuts, there is the toolbar, and the application menus.

More Ideas

There are 4 screens of 10 desktops each. The desktops can be split into any number of tools that don't overlap. A small representation of each desktop is shown in the minibar so you can quickly see when offscreen stocks change.

Each screen has a speedlist of stocks that you can quickly access and optionally view in the side toolbar.

• Press W1 to show your first watchlist.
• Press Shift S to make it the current speedlist.
• Press Q to bring up a Quick Popup that you can use to check something without changing the layout.
• Press 1, 2, 3... to cycle through the stocks in your speedlist.
• Press Q again to hide the quick popup.
