Statebar

The Statebar is displayed at the top of the screen below the watchbar and tickers.

It shows the trading state of the main market of the default exchange. e.g. If your default exchange is ASX, then it will show the trading state of the ASX equities market.

The current trading state is shown in the middle.

The next trading state and its scheduled time is shown on the right.

The bar shows 60s* either side of the current time.

When the next trading state is within 60s* of the current time it will start scrolling towards the middle with a countdown. Markers will appear below its time and at the midpoint (the current time).

When the starting time of the state is randomized, the random interval is shown in a lighter colour. The current and next states will meet in the middle and wait until the random time that the state changes at which point the actual start time will briefly be displayed.

Tooltip

Hovering the mouse over the Statebar or the State button will display the full schedule for the day and highlight the current time within in the current trading period.

Changes to the trading day

If the exchange changes the trading schedule for the day, e.g. after a market restart or on abbreviated trading days over the Christmas period, the State button will be shown with a pink alert background and a reason for the change will appear on the left side of the Statebar also in pink.

Mouse over the Statebar or the State button to dismiss the pink alert color.

Tip

The Statebar can be hidden by either deselecting State in the Display section of the toolbar or through the View menu.
